Pretty sure I’ve convinced my mom to buy one of these to replace her 05 LeSabre. She’s been a Buick driver forever. But wants AWD and a little extra ground clearance. She was thinking about crossovers *shudders*

Since my mom had to sell her manual, diesel, E39 wagon, this purchase would open a “Who has the coolest oppo mom?” contest. An AWD F31, diesel, but AUTOtragic is a close contender which would make for good arguments back and forth.

We actually wanted her to also look at the X1s they had in stock. She was like “I’m not touching that with a ten foot pole!”

Turns out on the new FWD platform they didn’t use the ZF 8-speed, but something from a cheaper supplier. Friend of mine almost wants to trade in her 2 series convertible while upside down because of that autobox. Seems ok on test drives but is annoying to live with.

Appparently not a DCT, just some junk from a different supplier. I have to investigate further, but this is all I know right now.

Meh, she doesn’t care about badges and I won’t have to look at it. Not worth the cost.
